DYNAMIC DANCE WORKSHOPS

8 FEBRUARY 2015 10AM-5PM in Milton Keynes

In this workshop participants will be introduced to Southpaw's distinctive movement vocabulary through an hour long class which will prepare the body for the rest of the day. We will carry out some simple improvisation tasks which will illustrate choreographic relationships and the transmission of meaning through movement. As the workshop develops, participants will be led in choreographic tasks to explore their own movement qualities / themes, and derive movement that will feed into short performable phrases with an option to share. Come dressed appropriately in track bottoms, socks, a spare T-shirt, and loose clothing enabling freedom of movement.

This workshop is open to: Professionals, vocational students and those with some dance experience aged 16+.

COST FOR WORKSHOP: £25 for whole day
