Meet the artists

Highly Sprung Dance Theatre
Highly Sprung create inspiring performances and experiences using physical theatre.
They tell compelling and relevant stories using physical theatre where text moves and movement speaks. Their work with and for children and young people produces bold, spectacular performances and unforgettable experiences, in unexpected ways, spaces, and places to inspire change.
Accelerate from Highly Sprung is a daring physical spectacle. Combining dark humour, bold movement, aerial performance and conveyor belt dance.
Performers battle through daily life, juggling with the exhausting demands of the day to day, struggling to find the energy. With only so much fuel to get them through, reserves begin to run low. There’s no choice – they must look for alternatives.

Flexer & Sandiland
Directed by choreographer Yael Flexer and installation artist Nic Sandiland, Flexer & Sandiland create live performance and digital installation work for theatres, galleries, screens, and outdoor spaces.
An Obscure Camera is an interactive installation and choreographic intervention that brings together dance, visual arts, photography, digital technology, participation and performance.
Based on the Victorian ‘Camera Obscura’, this new digital update allows visitors to physically interact with, and control a multitude of peep-hole views depicting the live view of what’s happening outside of the building.

Richard Chappell Dance
At Richard Chappell Dance, their work shines a light on what people have overcome and where they are going through the lens of climate and social justice, community strength and artistic expression. They celebrate brilliant people's bravery, sensitivity and boldness.
Land Empathy is a ritualistic dance performance, exploring how we can deepen our connection to natural environments.
The climate crisis is a pressing challenge and culture plays a crucial role in growing climate consciousness. We need to have hope in the face of climate and ecological disaster in order to take the action needed to save ourselves and fellow species.
