Linden Dance Company is an innovative professional dance company based in Birmingham, creating passionate and exciting new works.

UNBOXED is an explosive dance work in which a mixed-race man and a white woman set themselves in opposition to two giant wooden cubes in a physical representation of their battle with prejudice and judgement. The toxicity of the subject matter reverberates in the pulsing soundtrack and the performers’ athletic physicality which draws on Afro-fusion and Contemporary movement styles.

Autin Dance Theatre, led by acclaimed choreographer Johnny Autin, is an award-winning Birmingham-based charity. ADT creates socially inclusive, multi-disciplinary performances blending storytelling, physicality, and large-scale designs.

 

Out of the Deep Blue is an outdoor physical theatre performance featuring a 13-foot tall Puppet operated by 5 puppeteers and a female dancer. This spectacle tells the magical story of Eko, a sea giant who rises from the deep ocean and who encounters, on the shore, a courageous little girl called Violet.

Cookie and Her Black Mambas are a jazz and lindy hop collective based in East London. They travel worldwide to perform and educate.

At MK Motion, Cookie and Her Black Mambas will present a joyous lindy hop performance and a free lindy hop workshop to give the style a go! No experience necessary - come along and take part.
