​​​​WHAT IS JUMP START ‘27?

 

JUMP START ‘27 is a dynamic youth dance platform presented by MÓTUS for young dancers in Milton Keynes and the surrounding regions. It is a chance for dancers to perform, take part in workshops and talks, and meet other young dancers in a supportive environment.

In 2027 we are partnering with South East Dance, as JUMP START '27 will form one of two South East U.Dance Regional Platforms.

WHEN AND WHERE IS JUMP START ‘27?

​

The JUMP START ‘27' Showcase will take place 7:00pm-8:30pm, Saturday 17th April 2026 at The Venue MK.

 

Before the showcase, participants will be required to be on site all day for an incredible day of rehearsing, learning in talks and workshops, and performing on The Venue MK's stage.

HOW CAN I APPLY?​

 

Applications are open now! Contact schools@motusdance.co.uk to register your interest, and be sent the Application Information Pack. Applications close 12:00 noon, Wednesday 20 January 2027.

Groups can apply just for JUMP START '27, which will involve the full day of workshops, talks and performances. This is for groups aged 9+. For this pathway, you will apply directly to MÓTUS Dance. 

 

Groups can also apply to also be part of the U.Dance Regional Platform process with South East Dance. This is for soloists and groups in the South East with dancers aged 11-19 years, and up to 25 years for D/deaf and Disabled people and dancers with long-term health conditions. Those taking part in the U.Dance Regional Platform element of JUMP START will do the same programme as other groups, and will be assessed by a panel, as a pathway to representing the South East at the U.Dance National Festival 2027, taking place in July in Wales. For this pathway, you will apply directly to South East Dance.
