MÓTUS seeks 10 highly skilled choreographers in a variety of styles to work with schools to create original work for ‘FLUID IN FLIGHT’ at the Milton Keynes Theatre on the 8 July. Choreographers will work in 2 schools in Milton Keynes to create work.
Choreographers must have:
- Experience in working creatively with young people from primary school age - upper end Secondary.
- An enhanced DBS check
- Public Liability Insurance
- A clear idea of what they want to create for 2 schools (to last no more than 8 mins) linked in with the theme of ‘Fluid in Flight’ and overall festival theme ‘Journeys’.
- Skills which will allow the young people to be creatively involved in the
process as leaders and decision makers.
Fee: £1500 inclusive of expenses and VAT.
This includes 6 days of rehearsal (2.5 days per school totalling 5 days and a further 0.5 days at the MK Theatre and 0.5 day planning provision)

Please send a CV alongside a covering letter which should be no longer than one A4 sheet outlining your ideas for working with 2 schools based on the title ‘Fluid in Flight’ whilst linking in with the overarching festival theme: ‘Journeys’. Please state what style of dance you specialise in, how you foresee the 2 schools linking the work they produce and any relevant experience.
Please also outline availability for schools work from May 2019 onwards on a separate sheet.
